With our Head Office located in Cape Town, South Africa and servicing Sub-Saharan Africa and the Islands of the South-West Indian Ocean, Underwater Surveys provides regional clients with a turnkey solution in terms of specialised marine survey equipment & services for offshore, near shore and inland surveys.

Our Branch Office located in Nelspruit, South Africa is concentrating on the provision of Inland Hydrographic and the full spectrum of Civil Engineering surveys.

In order to better serve our Namibian clients, we have recently established Underwater Surveys Namibia (Pty) Ltd, based in Windhoek. This company will have the aim of serving the marine diamond mining, other Namibian mines, and general offshore survey industries more effectively.

We are planning to create a presence in Angola and Mozambique within the near future.

Underwater Surveys is made up of a number of internationally experienced professionals specialising in the provision of singlebeam/multibeam surveys, the provision of positioning services, capacity building and training, waterside security and the development of specialized integrated survey systems.

We have completed many successful projects in Africa, combining services and skills transfer with capacity-building. The company and personnel have a wealth of experience and have been involved in the survey industry for the past 15 to 20 years and have established a very good reputation throughout Africa as a quality provider of survey services.

Of particular interest is a survey of the Zambezi River to determine the feasibility of transforming it into a river transport system for Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique.

Underwater Surveys has a group of highly qualified and experienced Surveyors, Project Managers and Engineers who are available to provide immediate support to all offshore, near shore and inland projects. The Surveyors are registered with the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors as Professional Engineering Surveyors and Engineering Surveyors in terms of Act 40 of 1984.

We currently have twelve personnel employed and plans are in place to increase our staff levels by a further fifteen within the next 12 months. We have a full range of the latest survey and positioning equipment located on our premises in Cape Town, South Africa. Establishment of a dedicated data management and processing facility is also planned for the future.
